Glenville is proud to operate one of the most active senior centers in the region. Built in 1997 through a combination of town support, local grants and fundraising, the Glenville Senior Center houses the Scotia-Glenville Senior Citizens, Inc., a non-profit organization for those who are 55 and better.
Over 1,100 members strong, this organization hosts a wide variety of programs and services for senior residents in the town of Glenville and beyond. Activities include guest speakers, sports leagues, exercise classes, card playing, social events, bus trips, a daily lunch program and more. Some programs and trips are open to the greater Glenville community.
We invite anyone aged 55 and over to become a member of our Center. Membership may be obtained at any time and is renewable every calendar year thereafter. As a member, you will receive our bimonthly newsletter, Senior Moments, in the mail. Inside you will find numerous activities, trips and programs to participate in.
Annual Membership Fees: (2019)
- Glenville Residents $15 per person
- Non-residents $25 per person
Membership allows you the privilege of participating in various programs. Some activities are offered for free while others have a nominal fee.
