Town of Glenville Employment Opportunities

We are currently accepting resumes for the following positions:

*Town Comptroller- The Town of Glenville is seeking candidates for Town Comptroller. This position has broad responsibilities which include all aspects of town finances, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, cash management, employee benefits, labor relations, and financial reporting. The Town Comptroller works very closely with elected officials to ensure that financial and personnel resources are properly utilized to achieve stated policy goals. Starting salary range of low-to-mid $90k's with excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and generous paid leave. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field and at least 3 years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records. Prior municipal experience is preferred. 

*Deputy Commissioner of Public Works- This is a full-time management position with a starting salary range of low-to-mid $80k's with excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and generous paid leave. This position works under the direct supervision of th Commissioner of Public Works in the management and oversight of Town water, sewer, highway, parks, and facilities operations. The successful candidate must possess an Engineer in Training certification or possess a current valid license to practice as a Professional Engineer issued by the New York State Education Department. Prior municipal experience is preferred.

*Clerk to the Town Justice-Full-time, 35 hours per week including some evening court hours, starting salary of $52,096 per year, excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement, and generous paid leave. Requirements include an Associate's degree and 2 years of experience as a paralegal or similar position, or high school diploma and 4 years of experience as a paralegal or similar position. Prior experience in a town or village justice court is preferred.

*Water & Sewer Maintenance Worker-Full-time, 40 hours per week, starting salary of $48,443 per year, opportunities for overtime, generous leave time, excellent health, dental, vision, retirement benefits. Applicants must have a CDL driver's license and one year of experience in plumbing work or in the maintenance of a public or private water distribution and sewage collection system.
