Supervisor Chris Koetzle To Sign Executive Order; Convene An Emergency Meeting of the Glenville Town Board

Meeting Scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 4 PM at Town Hall

Supervisor Chris Koetzle will sign an Executive Order today and convene an emergency meeting of the Glenville Town Board for Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 4 PM.  The meeting will be held at Glenville Town Hall and is open to the public.  The meeting will also be video recorded and placed on the town’s webpage thereafter.

The purpose of the special meeting is for Supervisor Koetzle to present the Town Board with his Executive Order that he will sign effective at midnight tonight and continue for the next 30 days.  The Supervisor will also discuss the town's response to the public health crisis.

Additionally, as part of the Executive Order, Supervisor Koetzle will suspend the town’s procurement policy and will direct Deputy Supervisor Gina Wierzbowski and Director of Human Services Vicki Hillis to institute a support program - known as the Senior Assistance Program - for the town’s senior citizens and other residents who may be homebound and who may have difficulties with getting basic groceries and supplies.  The town’s Senior Assistance program will assure that seniors will get their basic groceries and supplies as needed through a town-sponsored program while not having to put themselves at risk to a greater exposure to the virus by going into crowded public stores/markets.  Details of the program to follow shortly.
