Re: Supervisor Koetzle Declares State of Emergency within the Town of Glenville

Effectively immediately and until further notice, Supervisor Chris Koetzle has declared that a “State of Emergency” exists within the town of Glenville due to the truck bridge strike that occurred on Maple Avenue at approximately 6:35 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Residents should avoid the area of Glenridge Road, Maple Ave and Alplaus Avenue until further notice.  An active investigation continues as the first responders remain on scene.

The town’s deceleration of an emergency will assist the town in its ability to respond to the scene, provide resources over an extended period of time and waive certain administrative procedures to help speed the town’s response to the emergency and support for all responders involved.

Further, Supervisor Koetzle will make the town’s senior center available to any resident who may be temporarily displaced from their homes.
