Phase II Reopening Guidance

Phase II businesses are scheduled to reopen early June. Eligible businesses include hair salons, real estate offices, automotive sales, equipment rental, equipment repair and retail establishments. Visit https://www.businessexpress.ny.gov/app/nyforward to look-up your business type by region (Glenville is part of the Capital Region) to determine status.

NYS has published guidelines for protecting employees and customers. The guidelines, business plan template and employee testing documents are available below. Generally each guideline covers documenting your plan, practicing social distancing, enforcing use of protective equipment, cleaning frequently, testing, tracing, and communicating your plan. The NYS website for the guidelines can be viewed at https://forward.ny.gov/phase-two-industries.

Please note that essential retail businesses need to follow the retail guidance. The full compliance requires reviewing the guidance, signing the affirmation, completing the business plan template, posting information at your business then uploading all information to the NYS website for our region. The state anticipates the website for the Capital Region Control room will be available soon. In the interim reach out to the Task Force via email at capnyf@esd.ny.gov for the Capital Region with any questions. For a full overview of the state's requirements see https://forward.ny.gov/ or https://esd.ny.gov/nyforward-faq for answers to frequently asked questions.
