Marriage Licenses

To apply for a marriage license please call our office to discuss our marriage license application process and to schedule an appointment.

To obtain a license to marry anywhere within New York State:

Town Clerk's Office:

Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM
(July and August, 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM)

Required Documents:

• Driver’s License
• Original Birth Certificate or Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
• Divorce Decree or Annulment – Certified copy for any former marriages
• Certified Copy of  Death Certificate

Fee: $40.00   (check, cash, credit/debit card)

Additional Information:

• Obtain within 60 days of Ceremony
• There is a 24-hour Waiting Period
• Both parties must be present

Marriage Licenses can be obtained at any Town or City Clerk’s Office.
