RESPONSIBLE FOR: Establishment of assessments which are used in the computation of taxes for all properties in the Town.
EXEMPTIONS: Assists taxpayers with applications for partial tax exemptions for Veterans and Low-income Seniors and determines eligibility. Administers Clergy and STAR exemptions and processes renewals for Wholly Exempt Properties.
ASSESSMENT RECORDS: Maintains records of current owners of property, assessments, lot sizes, school district, etc. Maintains tax maps for all Town properties.
OTHER SERVICES: Assists the public in identifying parcel owners and property lines.
