The ZBA is primarly an appellate body, charged with the review of projects that have been denied a building permit or certificate of occupany by the Building Department.
The ZBA is responsible for the review of several types of planning/zoning applications, including conditional use permits, area variances, use variances, and sign variances.
The ZBA consists of five members appointed by the Town Board. The terms are for five years, and are staggered such that one person's term expires each year.
Applications must be submitted no later than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled meeting date. You must have been denied a building permit prior to submitting an application to the ZBA.
