NYSDOT To Start Bridge Work

Infamous Glenridge Road Bridge To Get Detection System

NYSDOT plans to start work on the Glenridge Road height detection system tentatively the week of March 13th, 2023.

NYSDOT's contractor, Stilsing Electric Inc., will be working to install an over-height detection system at the CP railroad overpass. This work will be ongoing from March 13th, 2023, through the completion date of August 31st, 2023.

Construction activities include the installation of variable message signs, flashing beacons, over-height vehicle detection system, and cameras. The implementation of these measures are part of a multi-pronged approach to reduce instances of over-height vehicles striking the Canadian Pacific Railway-owned railroad bridge in the Town of Glenville.

Take caution: while work proceeds throughout the project, the contractor will use single lane closures as needed and within the allowed hours to complete tasks.
