ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at the Glenville Municipal Center, 18 Glenridge Road, Glenville, NY 12302-4518 on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 7 p.m. to hear all persons interested in the following applications as provided for by the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Glenville.
Application of Mark and Pamela Volk, 3 Drott Drive, Glenville, NY 12302 for a modification to a previously approved area variance granted on 5/21/12. The applicants are requested consideration to increase the size of the carport from 16’ x 30’ to 16’ x 42’. The proposal does not reduce the approved 5’ side yard setback. Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 16.9-1-1.
Application of Saratoga Hospital, 211 Church Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 for a Conditional Use Permit that will allow a 300 s/f staff break room and patient lavatories addition to the existing Scotia-Glenville Family Medicine at 112 Charlton Road, Ballston Lake, NY 12019. Said property is located in the Suburban Residential Zoning District and is identified on tax map 9.4-1-53.
In accordance with the Codes of the Town of Glenville, 270-96: Expansion of nonconforming use: The footprint of nonconforming buildings and uses cannot be expanded by more than ten percent (10%) or in any way enlarged without the granting of a Conditional Use Permit by the Zoning Board of Appeals. Further the expansion will only be allowed once and it is required that the alteration make the nonconforming use more compatible, such as expansion necessary to bring the structure into compliance with state or local law or regulations which are designed to protect the public health and safety.
Request by Brandon Guthinger, 1900 North Road, Amsterdam, NY 12010 for the ZBA to consider a re-hearing of a previously approved area variance.
