    GLENVILLE POLICE department
     Personal Photo Identification Card

The Glenville Police Benevolent Association (PBA) offers a Personal Photo Identification Card service to both residents and non-residents of the town.  For a nominal fee, you can request a Photo ID which can be used as an alternate or secondary form of identification for many purposes.  While we cannot make any guarantees on where these Photo ID cards will be accepted, they are often sought for check cashing privileges, employment purposes, proof of age, and as a secondary form of ID for Air Travel.

Acceptance of these Photo ID cards is at the sole discretion of the requesting business or agency.  The Glenville PBA and/or Glenville Police Department will not enforce the acceptance of these identification cards.

Citizens seeking a Personal Photo Identification Card from this department are required to come in person; we will not issue these ID cards via third party.  When requesting a Photo ID, you are required to present the following documents as proof of identity:

  • Birth Certificate (original document or certified copy)
  • Social Security Card
  • Piece of Mail bearing your name and current address
  • Marriage License (if your current name does not match that on your Birth Certificate)
**We will not accept photo copies of any document**

The fee for this service is $25.00 for residents (Village of Scotia or Town of Glenville), and $30.00 for non-residents.  This fee is payable at the time of service, and must be made in the form of a Money Order or Cashier’s Check.  We are sorry, but at this time we do not accept Cash, personal Checks, or Credit/Debit Cards.

ID Cards can be issued 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The process takes only a few minutes, and the card is usually issued the same day.  We do not require appointments, however we do request that you call hour prior to your expected arrival to ensure that we have someone available to process your request.  We cannot predict call volume, therefore you may experience extended wait times or be asked to come back at a later time.  Please plan ahead for any unforeseen delays.
