Fall Leaf Program
Update as of 12.1.15: We are currently working in the top of Zone One in the Birch Willow & Harmon areas. Once those areas are complete we will continue south on the east side of Route 50 before moving to the west side.

Update as of 11.24.15: We should have Zone Three complete by end of today with exception of state and county roads. We should be back to Zone One tomorrow for the second and final pass.

Update as of 11.19.15: We should complete Zone Two tomorrow and start Zone Three on Saturday. If weather permits we will return to Zone One after the Thanksgiving holiday.

Update as of 11.4.15: We are currently working in the last area of Zone One. We realize that many leaves still remain in the trees. We will be continuing to work through our zones as listed below. If weather permits we will return in the same order for a second pass.

2015 FALL LEAF PROGRAM TO BEGIN:
MONDAY, OCTOBER 26th

Please do not delay, get your leaves curbside.
PILES SHOULD ONLY CONSIST OF LOOSE LEAVES, NO BRANCHES OR BRUSH.
For vehicle and pedestrian safety, do not place leaves on roadways.

The Highway Department will be starting loose leaf collection on Monday, 10/26/15 in the Paradowski area. We will then continue to move down that side of Route 50.

Zone One: Kingsbury to Sunnyside [East side of Route 50]
Zone Two: Bancker to Scotchbush [West side of Route 50]
Zone Three: Charlton-Droms-Swaggertown-Spring-Vley areas; West Glen

Due to the unpredictability of the weather you are requested to bag loose leaves after your first scheduled pick-up has occurred. A heavy snowfall may impede a second pick-up by the Town as our machines are not equipped to handle wet, icy leaves. The town will pick bagged leaves for a second pass as needed.

As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 382-1406.
Thank you, Tom Coppola, Highway Supt/Commissioner
