DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To plan, oversee, and coordinate the municipal parks and recreation programs. To promote the parks and recreation activities and to insure maximum efficiency and use of playgrounds, parks, and other recreation facilities. Assures that physical facilities are kept clean and in good repair at all times.

A tree was recently planted in the Sanders Preserve in memory of long-time Park Commission member Rennie Hoffman. Rennie was a neighbor to the preserve, and a staunch volunteer for over 20 years. A plaque bearing his name was placed by the tree, and his family joined park commission members in a simple ceremony that honored his memory and community contributions.
